How to Enrol and General Rules

  1. Pre-enrolment and enrolment
Application for pre-enrolment on the course(s) should be understood as no more than a display of interest on the applicant’s part, which the Fondazione Opificio’s staff will examine at their earliest convenience. Enrolment proper will only occur after the applicant has received confirmation of his/her admission, and reservation of a place on the course chosen will be guaranteed only once the participation fee has been paid. Payment of the participation fee implies subscription to the contract and acceptance of all the present rules and regulation clauses.
  2. Attendance
Theoretical courses are available in three formats: physically on site, live on line and by video-recording on demand.
  3. Course changes or cancellation
In the event of insufficient demand or force majeure, the Fondazione Opificio reserves the right to cancel the course. In the event of this happening, applicants will be refunded the entire fee that they may already have paid to attend the cancelled course.
  4. Payment
The fee for attending each course must be paid, at the very latest, two days before the start of the course physically on site or live on line, or before beginning the course in on-demand mode.
Payment may be made by wire transfer; if that is the method chosen, the applicant must send the secretariat the receipt of the wire transfer, or via Paypal, to the following address: formazione@fondazioneopificio.it
  5. Right of withdrawal (Foregoing a course)
The applicant has the right to withdraw, without charge and with the right to a full refund of the fee paid, up to fourteen solar days before the course start date, in writing in a mandatory email addressed to: formazione@fondazioneopificio.it
In the event of withdrawal up to seven solar days before the start of the course, the applicant has the right to a 50% refund of the fee paid, after communicating his/her decision in a mandatory email addressed to: formazione@fondazioneopificio.it. If the applicant withdraws less than seven solar days before the start of the course, or after the course has begun or the applicant has purchased the course in on-demand mode, the Fondazione Opificio will withhold the entire fee as a penalty. The applicant is under no obligation to indicate the reason for his/her decision to withdraw from the course in the email announcing his/her withdrawal.
  6. Photography, video and audio recording rights
Video and audio recordings and photography of the courses and workshops (in whole or in part) or of the events inside and outside the premises of the Fondazione Opificio, Fondazione CR Firenze and Opificio delle Pietre Dure may be used in publicity or information material on printed paper or on the Internet, including on the social media. By virtue of his/her enrolment, the participant gives his/her implicit consent to the publication of said video and audio recordings and photography and their images on the websites, social media platforms, publications and brochures of the Fondazione Opificio, of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure and of the Fondazione CR Firenze. In the event the participant prefers recordings concerning his/her person not to be used, he/she must indicate that preference in an email addressed to the Secretariat of the Fondazione Opificio (info@fondazioneopificio.it or formazione@fondazioneopificio.it) before the start of the course. Photography and video recording by participants are also prohibited on security grounds, without express permission from the course lecturer.
  7. Diplomas and certificates of attendance
At the end of each course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
  8. Final measures
All disputes arising in connection with the interpretation or implementation of the present general contract clauses shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the Court of Florence. In enroling in a course and paying the enrolment fee, the participant in the course implicitly:
    – accepts the present general clauses in the contract;
    – declares that he/she has read and agrees to the general terms and conditions governing privacy as laid down by the Fondazione Opificio.
