Short courses
Fondazione Opificio, in conjunction with the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, is promoting an advanced training programme in the shape of specialist seminars and interdisciplinary workshops on cultural heritage management and conservation. The training will take place physically in Florence, at the Fortezza da Basso, and on line (the theoretical courses are available in three formats: physical presence, on line or via on-demand video recordings).
The courses are designed for a community of professional people working in the field of cultural heritage who plan to develop interdisciplinary skills in risk prevention and management, in the technologies of conservation and diagnostics, in innovative restoration methodologies, in heritage conservation and protection and in cultural policies.
Master’s course in the conservation and management of contemporary artworks
The FOP Master’s course The Conservation and Management of Contemporary Artworks is a specialist training course that addresses the numerous, complex issues raised by contemporary art from a material, formal, expressive and interpretative standpoint, by adopting a strongly multidisciplinary yet unified methodological approach in the best traditions of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure.
The 2nd edition of the Master’s course is due to be held in 2026.
