Ramón y Cajal researcher at the University of Santiago de Compostela (CRETUS), she specializes in stone microbiology and biodeterioration of built heritage. Her work focuses on biofilms, stone–environment interactions, and innovative monitoring and control methods, including light-based technologies. She has coordinated several national and international projects (including CROMALUX) and authored over 100 scientific publications.
