
Marco Pagni is an audiovisual conservator and the founder of Movie and Sound Firenze s.r.l., a laboratory specializing in film development, printing, post-production services for film and video formats, and the photochemical and digital restoration of films and soundtracks
He is a partner of FILM Ferrania s.r.l. and served as the plant’s technical director from 2012 to 2021 Author of articles on film restoration and a lecturer in film restoration at the Advanced Training Schools of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure and the Istituto Centrale per la Patologia degli Archivi e del Libro in Rome, he has collaborated with numerous public and private institutions, including the National Film Archive in Rome; the Uffizi Galleries and the G.P. Viesseux Cabinet in Florence; the Centre Pompidou in Paris; the Iran Centre for Film Industry in Tehran; and the Marian Goodman Gallery in New York. He contributed to the recovery of audio media damaged by flooding in March 2025 in Tuscany.
