Filippo Cenci holds a degree in Archival and Library Sciences. Since 2016, he has served as coordinator of the Tuscany Region’s Civil Protection Mobile Unit (CMRT), both during planning phases and in the event of Civil Protection emergencies. He is also responsible for managing and coordinating activities related to the logistics of the Tuscany regional Civil Protection system, including flood control and wildfire prevention operations at the regional operations center.
He is responsible for the establishment, management, and maintenance of the CMRT’s Cultural Heritage Protection module. During the 2016 earthquake in central Italy, he collaborated with the Department of Civil Protection (DPC) on the recovery of movable cultural heritage affected by the disaster. It participated in the management of the recovery of archives and libraries flooded in 2023 and 2025 in Tuscany, utilizing the CMRT’s Cultural Heritage module, and in the organization of the first training program conducted in accordance with the national operational guidelines issued by the National DPC.
