
Cristina Scibè is a diagnostician specializing in the study of textile materials, leather, and metal artifacts. She is completing her PhD in “Art and Heritage” at the University of Seville with research on the manufacture of metal threads in medieval fabrics. Between 2018 and 2020 she obtained a pre-doctoral fellowship at the Museum Conservation Institute, Smithsonian Institute, in Washington D.C.
She was an external collaborator of the Scientific Laboratory of the Opificio delle Pietre Dure, where she began her training in diagnostics in 2012, which then continued in Madrid at the Instituto del Patrimonio Cultural de España.
