Alex Clarke from the Jeff Wall studio has been working with Wall since 2002, this dynamic role encompasses numerous aspects of an artist’s practice including fabrication, handling, installation and the care of Wall’s work globally. Alex has worked on major retrospectives and tours such as the Schaulager (2005), MoMA(2007), and an Australian tour from 2012-13, and more recently the Beyeler Foundation in 2024 and Gallerie d’Italia – Torino, MAST Bologna in 2025.
His insight gained from working with collectors and museum teams around the world has provided him with a deep understanding of the handling of large-scale artworks and the associated challenges. His attention to detail and extensive experience working directly with Wall has given him a unique perspective on navigating this complex environment of an artist’s practice. Alex’s continued commitment to these challenges remains as strong as ever, striving for constant improvements to ensure the longevity and conservation of Wall’s work.
