Graduated in 1982 from the Opificio delle Pietre Dure school specialising in the restoration of paintings on canvas and wood panel. In 2007, she earned a degree in Technologies for the Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from the University of Tuscia. Since 1984, she has served as an Official Conservator-Restorer, first at the SABAP in Arezzo and, since 1996, at the OPD in Florence.
Lecturer at the OPD’s SAF in the Technology of Constituent Materials, History of Artistic Techniques, and Technical Disciplines of Restoration.
Since 2016, she has been the Technical Director of the Santo Chiodo post-earthquake emergency laboratory in Spoleto.
Since 2023, Technical Director of the Movable Paintings on Canvas and Wood Panel Department at the OPD.
Joined the “Blue Helmets for Culture” (Unite4Heritage) in 2016, completing the first Hostile Environment Awareness Training (HEAT) course at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and with the “Tuscania” Carabinieri Paratroopers.
Restored works by: Mantegna, Caravaggio, Bronzino, Sebastiano del Piombo, Donatello, Burri, Kiefer, Van Dyck, Rubens, Raphael, and Domenico Veneziano.
Works Director for the restoration of the Italian Auschwitz Memorial and Vice-Director of the Master’s in Conservation and Management of Contemporary Art (OPD-FOP, 2019–2021).
Author of numerous publications on restoration and member of the national working group for the design and guidelines of temporary cultural heritage storage facilities.
Speaker at numerous conferences at prestigious cultural institutions in Italy and abroad.
