Francesca Bettini has been a painting restorer with the Ministry of Cultural Affairs in Italy and works for the Painting Conservation Department at the Opificio delle Pietre Dure in Florence since 2002. She has worked on important projects for the conservation and restoration of paintings on wood and on canvas.
Her activities in the Institute also include study and research, both with regard to artistic techniques and diagnostic investigation methods, and with regard to material technology and new restoration methodologies.
