Course description
Works of art defined as “textile artefacts” are a composite category of artefacts structured on the basis of extremely fragile materials with a high risk of suffering environment-linked deterioration. The aim of the course is to provide basic knowledge regarding the maintenance and display of the various different kinds of textile artefacts and to explore the notions in depth with specific case studies, including the exploration of external experiences of the greatest importance.
Target audience
The course is designed for specialists and professionals in the field (restorers, restoration technicians, art historians, architects, scientists, registrars, museum curators and cultural heritage professionals) and for anyone wishing to update their skills and knowledge in the context of cultural heritage restoration and conservation.
